6ES5 095-8MB02 Connected to S7 315-2DP

Hi all,
I need to connect a S5 095-8MB02 cpu (Sinec L2) to a S7 315-2DP (Profibus DP) for transfer of analog signals between the two. Does any1 no of any Sinec L2 to Profibus DP Convertors or anything that would allow me to transfer data between them.

6ESS5 095-8MB02 CPU is capable to communicate with other profibus devices via it's built in Sinec L2 interface (in fact it's Profibus interface). Unfortunatelly this S5 CPU doesn't provide DP Master or DP Slave functionality. For connection from S7-300 side an CP342-5 will be required since you have to use S5 compatibile communication (FDL).

Yes you are correct, Siemens have given me the same answer. However there are already devices communicating on the S5 side and i am wondering can i connect the S7 using FDL onto the same connection without causing problems for the devices already connected. Do you no does the built in Sinec L2 of the CPU only communicate in FDL. If that is so then i should be able to add in the S7.
