AB - PKTX Not detect in Win XP Mode

Hello to all,
Recently purchased win7 pro 32 bit machine, install with
AB PKTX(D) PCI communication card and want it to run under
WIN XP MODE.
Facing problem, Win XP Mode did not detect this PCI card and not able
load the driver, also on RSlinx PKTX(D) driver did not see any selection on ID & Channel.
Did anybody can give an hand?

Cards that plug into the PCI or PCMCIA slot are not supported in virtual platforms. Those buses require hardware access that virtual machines cannot directly access.

My suggestion would be to purchase RSLinx Gateway and configure the PKTX in the host O/S. Configure the host as a Gateway.

In the virtual machine you can configure a Remote Devices via Gateway driver using RSLinx Classic Lite. The virtual machine can use an ethernet connection to communicate with the host and then use the hosts PKTX driver.

Is it I have to setup this PKTX on win 7 O/S with RSLinx gateway install?

Yes. Configure it in Windows 7.

Install RSLinx Gateway on the host (Win 7). Select Communications => Configure Gateway. Then check Enable Gateway. Reboot the computer.

What I need is to purchase the latest Version RSLinx Gateway
and install it on Win 7 O/S. These will solved my problem.

You might check with your local supplier and see if they can get you a copy of RSLinx Gateway with a free time limited license (like a 30-day trial). This would allow you to try this and make sure it works for you before you spend the money.
