DC power supply

They were insulted when I asked to measure the DC output: this had been their shop power supply for ten years !

It measured 50 volts DC. The autotransformer had slipped or shorted one winding, so it was nominally at 5:2 instead of at 5:1.

They should have a "Like" button on this forum for posts like this. :)
 
Ken who paid the first 2 blown panelview at the end ? 10 years is not that much old to use this kind of redneck supply in industry.

I am using it to make a bulk 12v ps to power my home audio system using car amplifier but i know each amp as it own regulated step up ps in it, i wouldn't use that anywhere else
