Yes you can.

The only problem with a 1770-KF2 is that they are looking for a way to get a 'new laptop' on to the DH+, the 1770-KF2 is a little big for the laptop bag and you need a serial port that most new laptops do not have.

But they are still great for desk top applications

Has anyone tested a KF2 with a USB to serial converter? Does it work?

Equustek DL3500 can be easily customized to allow any serial protocol access to DH+ or DH485.
