is it just me, or has something happened with the google search when using chrome?
looks likes safari on mac is ok, but edge/chrome on windoze has the warning 'this form is not secure autofill is turned off'
the same for chrome on mac..

Nope.
Chrome (Version 119.0.6045.161 (Official Build) (64-bit)) on Win 10 does not show me that message.
Autofill works as usual.

It seems to me that the warning is generated when using https in the site URL. Because the search function will use http rather than https, it warns you. If you are already on http there is no warning.

Reminds me of the time a web developer opened a bug with Mozilla because FF was flagging his site as insecure, scaring the sites users. Hilarity ensued.

Google search has been 'off' for a while.

Search for something like pizza, it shows 1.2 billion results.

But go down 5 pages at a time and suddenly the last page is page 24 that isn't a full page and on the top it shows 236 results, but go back to page 23 and there it shows 1.2 billion still.

Even if you have a link to re-search without omitting any supposed duplicates it will show 1.2 billion until the last page, and maybe that time it will be page 25 with 247 results.

Yeah, normal google is very broken right now and has been for some time. It won't return specific results even when enclosed in quotes.

As for the forum google, it no longer works for me at all, the warning cannot be bypassed. I have tested on several devices with different browsers and operating systems. The search probably needs to be updated to use https to fix it.

There is a fix, you need to go into your chrome settings and security site specific permissions and grant unsecure forms (Or whatever its called) for this site.

Yes, I get this on my work PC but not on home PC. Edge works fine on work PC though.
