Working on a project with an existing Allen-Bradley CompactLogix PLC containing a Hilscher RIF 1769-DPM Profibus card which is the master. We need to add an additional node to the existing network.
As we don't have access to the original configuration file for the RIF 1769-DPM, is it possible to upload this configuration add new slave and then download amended configuration. Which software should be used 'Prosoft.fdt' or 'Sycon.net', a little confused from the information I've read as to whose card it is.
If the original configuration file was created in 'Sycon.net' is this the software to be used or can it be read with 'Prosoft.fdt'.
Our main area of interest is to upload the configuration change it for the additional node. Any help on this would be appreciated.
