how to connect thermocouples in micrologix 1000 1761-L20BWA?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thermocouple

Thermocouples produce micro-milli current ranges, not capable of a standard 4-20mA analog input. You would need to use some expansion IO on any of the micrologix range of controllers. But unfortunately I don't think you can expand the 1000.

Perhaps a 3rd party interfacing device would work.

Someone chime in here if I'm wrong.
