Mitsubishi Q series , configuring a PLC digital output

I have just done a quick trial on a Q series I configured it with just a CPU and read the parameters config no cards are shown, powered down, put in a 232/422 intelligent card and re-booted, I opened the parameter file & it showed no cards, I then read PLC data and the card was there so it looks like it will auto configure the cards but if intelligent then the switch & other configurable information will be as default.

Correct, in my case, it's already cofigured with a start/end address.

Sounds like a bargain. Do you speak from experience?

Used to deal with them many years ago, they have been one of the main Mitsubishi distributors in the UK for many years so know their stuff.
