1. WHAT IS A NOISE FILTER FOR PLC?
2. wHERE WILL A NOISE FILTER BE INSTALLED IN THE PLC? INPUT / OUTPUT?
3. for example, I have an Omron PLC - CPM1A - 30DCR - A-V1, what is the compatible model of Noise filter that I will acquire?

Thanks,

Alan

You should not need a noise filter on an Omron PLC inputs if you wire correctly to the inputs. Outputs do not require noise filters. Omron processor power supplies are very well protected against industrial noise and I haved NEVER required a noise filter yet.

I would suggest you wire to the inputs using screened cable if noise may be a problem. Make absolutely sure you do not run anything else in the cable and make sure you wire the inputs according to the Omron manual for the PLC.
