Since I went QRP, haven't had any problems like that.
But then, not as many contacts.
Used to operate a club station inside a museum in Peoria. Drake TX4, R4, L4B, and a 5 band vertical on roof(300 x 500 foot ground plane, up 75').
Contacted everyone I could hear. Started running 10 watts pep on 10 mtr ssb, and still contacted everyone I could here.
Boy, I miss that station!
