omron pc link communications address

Have a machine we recieved that has two omron cp1l plc's.
Have the program and in PLC#1 it is using what appears to be 3100 - 3100.14 to recieve a signal from plc#2.

PLC#1 also is using 3110.0 - 3110.14 to send a signal to PLC#2

Could someone explain how these address are assigned. I understand in both plcs, the serial port 1 is set up as PC Link, but do not understand how it is set up to use the 3100.00 - 3100.14 .
