We are going to be performing a revamping project on an existing plant. In the mean time we are going to upgrade the "old" Pilz Safety System.
The change concept is to change old S7+Pilz controller mix to one S7F cpu and wire all the existing safety magnetic switches to ET200S modules with safety functionality. In old system they have used a "safety series connection" device from company Pilz (PSen i1) but I want to wire all the sensors directly 2 channels to Siemens F-DI input. I do not want to left any old device in the revamped electric cabinet. At this point I am doubting if it is possible from safety electronics point of view to wire the existing safety door switches from company Pilz to S7 because these are as stated magnetic door switches with (as far as I know) built in electronics not 2 channel dummy switches...
Attached is a picture from existing drawing and also you can find links to products here. I thought maybe somebody have already this experience and can help me whereas I am trying to reach information from Pilz and/or Siemens.
