for one of my project i want to connect plc with barcode scanner to read the data from scanner.

plc am using is mitsubishi with ehternet port
do we need to program the plc to aquire data from scanner??
pls suggest me
 
Yes. What model is the PLC, what model is the scanner?

If you look on the keyence website you will find sample programs for their scanners and allen bradley PLC's. Will give you an idea of what is required.
