Hello,

A customer asked if it's possible to visualize profibussegments and their statusses. Siemens allready said that it cannot be done without programmation in the PLC. How can this be done...

I was thinking to draw a graphic that represents a profibusnode in WinCC, with an IO Field or text Field I can give the actual status of that node and some animation for node okay or node not okay. What we must show is a graphical statusview of the network, like you could see in Siematic HWConfig in online mode.

But then in the PLC, I was thinking to use diagnostic FB125 for each node. I never used FB125, but I know that diagnostic info can be asked to a node this way...

Is this the way to go, or are there easier ways ?

Thanks,
Kind regards,
Combo

You should use the newer version PNIODIAG FB126 that works for both DP and PN.
Search for this on Siemens support and you will find a sample project which includes HMI screens.

Thanks

Thanks Jesper,

Is this FB126 needed for each node ?

Kind regards,
Combo
