PV800 Serial Comm with Micrologix1400

Hi Friends,

I am trying to connect MLX1400 over RS232 serial communication with PV800. I am not sure where I am going wrong, the PV800 doesn't talk to MLX1400 PLC.

I have attached configuration details for reference, if any one could be able to help me out with this, that would be really appreciated.

No, I don't see any faults. All information appear as question mark on PV800.

I would check your cable/connections/pinout

I am using the following DB9 connector serial cable Part no: 182-8781.

That looks like a straight thru cable. I don't believe that will work. The ML1400 manual specifies 1761-CBL-PM02, but that's for port zero.


I think you need a null modem cable. Page 63 of the manual.
