PV900/1000 memory card

Hi Ken,

I manage uploaded the .PVA files from 2 units of PV550.(for backup purpose).
File#1 is currenty linked with SLC5/04 while File#2 is linked with Automax PLC.
We have one new unit of PV550(2711-K5A8, ver 4.48), but once I download File#2, there is error message relating the terminal.

I tried download File#1 to the PV550 without any problem.

I notice the different as follows :-

I changed the protocol to DH+ of File#2 but it still not working.

Please comment.

What's the error message? Can you post your PV's program ( zip it first)
file #2 before and after the change.

A 2711-K5A8 terminal has a DH+ communications port only. It cannot be used on a Remote I/O Network.

Although DH+ and RIO use identical wiring and signal types, the protocol is different and they are not interchangeable.

If the AutoMax interface is a RIO scanner, you need a 2711-K5A1 terminal with Remote I/O.

For downloading purpose, if I set the terminal setting exactly as File#1, it should be transferred right?.
I will get the K5A1 model anyway.

Thanks, sinaralf but I believe Ken pinpointed your problem. DH+ is not going to talk to a RIO AutoMax.
