question about sending message between two different networks

Any Ethernet module for the ControlLogix chassis will work for this application, including the 1756-ENET, 1756-ENBT, 1756-EN2T, 1756-EN2TR, 1756-EN2F, 1756-EN3TR, etc.

The one I recommend is the 1756-ENBT, which has modern features (scrolling display, 10/100 BaseT port) and moderate performance and cost.

Ken

you know there had already been a 1756-ENBT in each PLC, do i need add another one? from the 1756-ENBT manual, i did not find the information show me how to configure for 2 different network, could you show me some?

thanks

Hi angi

If you have two cards on two different networks then as ken has said a router will do but I think you misunderstood what I said. What I often do is add another Ethernet card to one of the plc racks and set it up on the same network as the other card. The reason I do this is to keep the two network total separate . So I would just normally use a enbt

Sorry if I did not explain myself correctly
