Hi Friends,

I have a LVDT for measurement of cylinder stock which output in resistance. How can I connect it to PLC's analog input? If is there any converter or transducer is used then tell me which transducer I should use and cost effective also?

Does your "LVDT" act as a potentiometer ? If so, the very easy way to connect it to a PLC analog 0-10V input is by connecting it as a voltage divider.

If you wish to isolate the linear transducer from the PLC input, or overcome issues with (relatively) high voltages causing wear on the linear transducer, you should use a Potentiometer -> Analog "signal conditioner".

There are several good vendors of these sorts of devices. I have personally recently had good luck with PR Electronics, though other vendors may have better availability in northern India.
