Schneider (Modicon) M172 HVAC PLC Upload?

Hey all, I do not have the original source code of a Modicon M172 PLC (HVAC PLC).

I want to modify some of the code but read you cant upload the program like you can an AB PLC, etc.. So if you dont have the original source code can I even go online with the PLC and do live edits? Anybody run into this issue?
