I agree that the Step or Stage method is a great one. I have used it many times.
I think that for each job, someone should ask the question, "What is the best programming method, all things considered?"
Only PLC Kid knows all the requirements, constraints, time available, how complex the program can be without causing headaches for the boss and the maintenance guys, and his programming ability.
