We are replacing an existing FM 350-1 module in an existing installation. If it's a one- for- one swap, do we need to change or update anything in the hardware configuration? Do we need to go online and navigate to the module to set any parameters? I've fone this before but it's been about 10 years lol. Thank you!

Short answer - no... as long as it's a FM350-1 module you're replacing it with. Generally even if the newer module has a different part#, it can just be installed in place of the old one with no configuration changes.

Just for confirmation, what is the old part# and the new part# of the FM 350-1?

Also, when putting the front screw terminal on the replacement S7-300 module, you have to remove the white circular "tabs" that are on it. Otherwise the screw terminal will not plug all the way down onto the module. Hence the "No auxiliary voltage" error.

But, still, you cannot put a SM 338 POS module in place of an FM 350-1 module.
