I'm still getting used to working with Siemens Step 7 Classic, and WinCC in the Simatic Manager package. I need a trend line on the MP377 HMI, and I don't see that feature in the software.

I was discussing with my customer about how they can manage some raw material issues. I suggested we put in a trend line graph on a "raw material weight" so the machine operator can identify a change in slope as material is being used, which would alert the operator that there might be an issue with material flow. But I don't see that feature anywhere in their, or my, copy of WinCC (for Step 7 Classic). I'm getting the feeling it's not available, which makes me wonder what others have done in this situation.

Any information or thoughts?

You just made my day! Thanks! I totally missed that. Yes... Tools > Enhanced Objects! I never understood why the previous guy never used any trend graphs... I use them all the time on other customers' machines. He created trend-like graphs by single bars stacked next to each other for things like daily/hourly production. That seemed like a lot of unnecessary work for the end result. I'll get to know the feature on my "practice" set-up in my shop before applying it here. Thanks again!
