Yea starting from scratch is a major pain but when it start's working it doesn't get any better

I got one question....................AGAIN.
I made a RS232 cable that was on the Micromaster documentation CD. It's under the AOP to Pc connection kit, but that's probably not the right cable beacouse it still doesn't work. Or is this the right cable and I'm still doing something wrong?

PS: Do I need a PC to MM4 connection kit for starter to connect to the drive? I also found that on the MM4 documentation cd or am i way off with this idea.

Yes, either you need the connection kit....

or

get a rs232 to rs485 converter(2 wire). there are two terminals (14 & 15, i think) on the drive to connect to the 2 wires.
