I'm new to Siemens so here I am on Sunday morning trying to learn with a 224XP hooked up.
How do you do on line editing?
How do you change timer and counter presets while on line with PLC running?
I did a search of help and this forum but obviously I'm using the wrong search words.

I guest you already online with PLC. If you want to online edited please go to menu Debug then Program Edit in Run. When you go to this mode, it seem to download to CPU again.

Two choices:

1. On-Line Edit and you can download without stopping CPU (I think that's what you want).

2. Make Preset a Memory Location (VW100 as a example) and modify this in the status chart.
