I am using system platform and MBTCP to read and control 48 discrete outputs on a phoenix contact ethernet based controller. The first 16 outputs are in register 40900 (each controlled by a single bit)… I can write a number to register 40900 and operate the outputs via binary to dec conversion, however if I try to operate a single output by writing to an individual bit (ie: 40900:1), I get nothing. Am I missing something simple or is this a bigger issue with my controller?

Yes, I am familiar with modbus and function codes. This is a system platform/ management console/MBTCP/Wonderware question more of anything I suppose.

My other control system, a desktop based controller (Think N Do) can write to these individual bits without a problem.

What does the SMC log viewer say when you attempt to write a 1 to 40900:1?

What mbtcp object are you configuring in OI.MBTCP?
