Tool for PLC inventory?

Does AB (or anyone ) have an inexpensive tool to take a inventory of the PLCs on the network to get model, FW revision etc. ?

Do they all happen to be CompactLogix or ControlLogix?

The majority are, with a couple PLC5 and ML1400 thrown in just to make comms interesting

This might get you most of the way there. Any PLC that responds to ListIdentity should be recorded. That would be, any drive that would show up under the Ethernet I/P driver in Linx...

Edit: Think at one point, Rockwell had a tool called system ferret or something like that.

Found that the free tool System Ferret was replaced with AssetCentre for the paltry sum of $17,000.

I was an AB fan for the longest time - they are beating it out of me every time I talk to them.
