Tracking Method

Anyone have some good solution ideas for tracking multiple systems PLC brand / model /Firmware version / HMI / OIT ETC.

There are a lot of databse solutions out there but most are geared more for general asset tracking and I haven't seen any yet that seem like a good solution to me.


(looking for something user friendly that isn't DIY database or excel spreadsheets)

when you find what you are looking for, you will in all likely hood have to type in the data yourself. i had to build our spreadsheet from scratch citing exactly what you are requesting. we only used ab, which made it easier.

We use a program ( or a Service) from a Company called Asset Guardian it is a Software Safe / Password Store and Does Obselecance and Venrabilities tracking.

Data is only as good as you collect. We didn't collect good data so ours in meeem. And takes look of Keying. Spreadsheets / MS Access might be a better solution...
