VIPA CPU015 + VIPA HMI 62k-jee0

hello , i have a task at my hand here and i am not sure why cant i find any manuals for the communication between the VIPA CPU015 and the VIPA HMI 62k-jee0 . The hmio is built on Windows ce and is programmed through Movicon software . the problem is i am programming the VIPA plc with tia portal (its manual states how) but i dont know if there is any cgd file for the HMI or how i might make the communication between them. does anyone have any experience with it .

Hello,

Simply use the Ethernet S7 TCP Comm driver option in Movicon (under the VIPA folder), which will have you specify the PLCs IP address. Form there you can create tags in the HMI that will be linked to memory locations in the PLC. No special configuration file is needed.

Yea Thanx jwilcoxson , i got that working but the problem is importing tags . movicon dosn't support importing tags from Tia portal i guess . is their any way around for importing the tags from TIA portal . Because adding tags one by one for my project would be almost impossible .

Have you tried exporting your symbol list from TIA Portal to a CSV file, then importing that as a tag list in Movicon?
