Hello guys!

I need some help here. I configured my kinetix 5300 drivers with a compactlogix for the first time and they worked. However, when i powered them up again the next day, the drivers' screen showed -00- and the axis group in the PLC showed all the axis as disconnected. To fix this, I did the following:
1. Powering everything off, then on again
*. Downloading the program twice
With this, i made the drivers work again.
The issue is that I shouldn't have to download the program again in order to make the drivers work after each power off.

I don't know what to do or test

If somebody has any idea I will be grateful.

Welcome to the PLCTalk forum community !

Double-check your IP configuration on the PowerFlex and the controller, to be certain you don't accidentally have it set for BOOTP/DHCP.

That "00" does mean the drive is waiting for a connection from the controller. The controller status message indicating it can't connect to the drive really means that too.

Do the ordinary troubleshooting: PING each device's IP address, and type it into a Web browser to see the embedded webpage, and browse them with RSLinx.

If this is a new installation, don't discount the possibility of a bad switch or cable on the Ethernet installation.
