Hi,

I just downloaded the Manual for this Model.

The trouble we are now facing is that the Drive is Password protected and dont let us in!!!!!

We need to reduce speed and are stick to just two speeds (LOW and HIGH).

Can someone please tell me how I can reset the CODE or any other way to get in.

this is URGENT, and I would really apprecaite if someone can help me out.

Thanks in advance.

did you try the default password? let me dig around a bit , I can't remember if there is another way to get round this , i've got it written down somewhere...............

The password can be any five digit number between 00000 and 65555, the default is 0. I am not aware of a way to even reset it to factory defaults if it is password protected. If you have the HIM and can scroll thru the menu to EEPROM then you can reset it to factory defaults but this means you will have to reprogram it from scratch, all the old settings will be gone. If you are trying to use Drive Explorer be aware that it is not compatible with version 3.xx and below.
Contact the system manufacturer if possible, if not then you will need to contact AB.
What is going on with the fonts?

Hello guys,

I've just joined here as I was having a look around the site for another reason, a more professional reason. I have recently changed jobs and I will be working more with PLCs and wanted to try and find a source of information that could assist me when I inevitably come undone! I will be going on a course which will probably be very generic and as I don't know which PLCs I might end up working with I'm sure this site will be invaluable to me at points. Thats by the by the reason I am posting here is thus:

I'm not sure if this thread is still active as it was a long time since it was updated but if anyone does know the override password and they would kindly like to pass it on I'd very much appreciate it so I can get my lathe up to full tilt! any help whatsoever would be greatly appreciated.

Yes there is an override password...I'll P.M. you since I don't think the AB guys want everybody to know it...

Thanks for the quick reply rix but this is purely a hobby for me and i don't have any means of hooking the drive up to a PC/laptop. Any variations i need to carry out will be done solely through the HIM. I have had the drive for a while and played around with the parameters previously and I have probably changed the password myself at some point but forgot it, although for the record I don't remember doing this šŸ™ƒ:ROFLMAO:

I have found that using the A/B Drive Explorer (lite) will reveal all parameters when they are downloaded.

Hello all,

I am currently in the situation where I lost the password for an AB 1305 Freq drive. Is there a "backdoor" way to remove the password so that I can make adjustments?

Might want to send a Personal Message to OkiePC, he claimed to have had it back in 2005. Otherwise, you are SOL. The earlier suggestion about resetting to the factory defaults will not work, because once a password is set, the ability to reset to defaults is also then controlled via the password.

I am pretty sure, if you open the old manual for the 1305 drive, actually, don't open it, flip it over (or hit CTRL + END if using a pdf) and look at the Allen Bradley Headquarters at the bottom of the back cover. The numeric part of that address, if I recall correctly...try that 4 digit number...
