So in nearly all Ladder Logic software, you can replace an instruction type by right-clicking on it and changing it from a NO to a NC or etc. Does anyone know of a way to do that in Step 7? Is it possible?

Just find it tedious to have to add a new instruction copy the address paste it into the new instruction and delete the old one all the time.

Yeah it just creates a new instance of a Contact on the rung. I was hoping for some way of like.... While I have the particular instruction Selected or highlighted, pressing Shift+F2 will replace the already NC with a NO. But no such luck so far.

Thoughts?

Mike_RH You sir get a point today!

That did it, there is a status in the status bar for it as well.
Thanks for that simple tip.

By the way, be careful with this new found power. Make sure you press insert again to switch out of replace mode.

It's really easy to make a few modifications, step away, and lose track of what you HAD been doing. When you go to add new code somewhere else, you end up overwriting what you had.....
