Best way to learn is to get your hand on an old copy of Modicon Concept software.

The CD can be copied. You'll be able to deal with the 5 IEC languages including SFC (state logic) and ladder , etc. It has a simulator in it.

They use to have a demo version on there Web site. Find it. Download it. Play.

Allen Bradley offers a simulator package for approximately $500. I don't believe they offer a trial or demo online. - www.ab.com

Entertron offers an offline run simulator with Eware32 that is free of charge. You would have to contact them for a CD. www.entertron.com

I am not certain but I think Keyance may offer a simulator with their software. I know you can get a demo from their web site.

Hope this helps.
