Currently, our Siemens S5 PLC (model 944B)uses an EPROM with part# 6ES5 375-1LA61.
Works great... but, I'd like to instead use an EPROM part# 6ES5 375-0LA71.

I burnt the "0LA71" EPROM... no problems there... but it will not run in the PLC.

Question: How do I make the "0LA71" EPROM work in the 944B, or, is there some fundamental incompatibility that prevents me from using this EPROM in the 944B card?? Thanks much

it should be possible to use this eprom, but you have
to set the operating mode within the prommer to WORD or WORD/BLOCK instead of BYTE.
2.) The maximum size for programm is 96K , even the
sizeof eprom is 128K!
