I have a existing Panelview Plus 1000 that is communicating to a SLC 5/03 just fine. I want to communicate with at SLC 5/04 using the 1761-NET-AIC. I had problems in the past using this unit to read and write messages using Port 3 to Port 1. I was only able to start handshakes from port #1.

Will this be a problem when adding this PLC to my panelview plus communications?

See page 30 of the users manual

Just did a project with the opposite; one micrologix and 2 panelview plus.

And yes, there were some problems!
The PLC had to be set to adress 1-31. So if the PLC was set to node 1 (in com port setup) node 0 and 2-31 are available.

My solution: first panelview ->node 0
second paleview -> node 2

And in the driver setup (both plc and panelview) max node adress must be 2

These were important settings, and was the ONLY thing that worked for me...
So it might be something you have to take into consideration when you will do this.
