Can someone reccommend a drive with PID & inverse PID output?

my application is a respooler. A spool on the takeup spins at constant speed, the payoff(5hp motor) is PID controlled. Currently using a Yaskawa V7 drive. My current setup does not have enough braking power so I am adding an air brake. I need the air brake to be controlled by an I/P transducer which is controlled by an inverse PID output of the drive. The yaskawa has no ability to do this. I need a drive with a multifunction analog output able to be assigned as Inverse PID 4-20ma or 0-10v. Any drive selection reccommendations?

Also, does my adding an air brake controlled by I/P transducer Idea sound like a good idea? any reccommendations on that?

Depending on the speed, a brake alone should be sufficient (with no motor), unless you need jog/thread functionality.

You didn't say what your feedback device is, but consider a simple process controller like the Moore 535 or similar.
