S7-200 communication with field pg

Hi,

I can't figure out why the simatic field PG is failing to communicate with s7-200 PLC 216-2AD23-OXBO CPU 226.Do l have to use a PC adaptor.
 
Connect yo comms cable to the PG and plc port open yo simatic manager field,go to communication icon .click to open and selsct the type of communication cable u a using eg usb -RS232.Select baud rate or u can click on refresh icon and the simatic software willautomatically search for the address and baud rate of yo connected plc
