Dear friends can some one tell me the site where i can download Simens Simatic Manager free for operating system windows 7 basic. I wan to practice programming at home in my laptop.

The only free option I know, is Step 7 Lite.
Have a search for it at the Siemens web sites.

From simatic lite can we do programming and run that programme. Does it work like a simulator .

No simulator in S7 lite.

If you want Step7 and PLCSim from Siemens, you'll have to pay.

You might want to try an equivalent, WinSPS from MHJ, look here.

I once downloaded and installed it, but I never took the time to play with it. So I can't help you further, sorry.

You can use PLCSim from Siemens with Step 7 Lite, but you have to pay for PLCSim. As mentioned before Step 7 Lite is free, but you need to register. There are however some limitations in S7 Lite.
