Hello,

I'm working on project where I'm using an S7-1200 PLC, and I'm working with 3 devices that I'm connecting on a Profinet network.

I connect (on the TIA portal) each device and assign the IP address, and the TIA portal assigns the slot and the input/output addresses automatically, but when I connect the third device and asign the IP address the sofware doesn't assings the input/output addresses.

The devices are differents, and this happens with anyone of them (as long as it is the third one).

Because the system doesn't assigns the input/output addresses I can't compile the project nor download the hardware configuration.

Does anyone knows how can I correct this?

Best regards

Juan

Which version of TIA are you using? If its V10.5 or V11 just upgrade because not even Siemens knows how to get those to work properly.

Next, do you have enough connections available on the PLC, if the third one is failing it may be due to running out of connections.

Then look at how you are connecting them in devices and networks topology view, portal sometimes does funny things if they are not all connected. You can just use unmanaged switches to fool TIA if you need to.
