I am struggling to get a 1769 CompactLogix to communicate with a AC 800M controller from ABB.
ABB requires an EDS file from the PLC which I can upload from the controller, but how can I setup which data to communicate.

Anyone with usable experience - pls. advice.

The CompactLogix can only be a master, not a slave. So the EDS for it doesn't list any slave connections another master could use.

Can the ABB be a slave?

Hi pturmel,
thanks for You answer, I am afraid You are right.
No ABB can not be slave either.
I will probably go for an AnyBus solution.
