Hi ! everyone. Nice to have a outlet to share experiences.
Has anyone used a 1747-UIC to upload direct to a panelview using DH485 protocol. We use mostly the panelview 300 and 550 series DH485 and DH+.
I am using:
RS Linx 2.51 lite
1747-UIC Frn 1.3
Panelbuilder32 V3.81
1761-cbl-pm02 cable
2711-M3A19L1 PV300 micro (this case)
RS Linx Classic identifies both the 1747-UIC and the PV300. Open panelbuilder32 and start a upload I get error message 2258 - no response from controller. Using WINPFT results in the same error.
Tried using the 1747-UIC with the PV550 using RS485 DH485 and get a similar error message - no responce from controller.
I am also unable to download.
The 1747-UIC works fine with our PLC's and I thought that I would try and use the convertor direct with the panelview.
Is it possible the 1747-UIC in this application?

Found the problem and yes the UIC will do it. One needs to use the right transfer protocol.
