Hello all. I have an issue that keeps plaguing me. The system has a 1769-L24ER processor and a 1769 HSC card. I am using CH.0 for tracking product on a conveyor belt with an encoder. The HSC card is set up ring counter. Occasionally I get an Overflow or Underflow alarm that is a pain to get reset. Max count is set to 2147483640 but in code I reset count to 0 at a count of 900000000. Not sure of conditions that set the alarm condition but always seems related to a maintenance situation on the equipment.
This is most likely an issue of configuration that I missed a step. It seems like I should be able to reset the counter and GenErr alarm bit programmatically but that has not worked.
Any advice is appreciated. I usually have a dance of manually setting resetEn bit and then cycling power.
