(3) PanelView standard 2711-T6C5 download issues

So I am have bad day or I have just something I can not see

I have 3 standard PV's T6C5L1 this is a RS232 (DH485) one port, I can download or upload the app on all 3 with a UIC but NOT a straight through cable?

The confusing part for me is look at page 36 bottom pic RS-232 (DH-485) , then 37 #9

#9 RS-232 (DH-485) Communication Port Connects to the Channel 0 port of an SLC 5/03, 5/04, or 5/05 for point-to-point DH-485 communication. Connects to a MicroLogix controller through an AIC+ Link
Coupler. Also connects to the RS-232 serial port of a computer for transferring
applications

I even downloaded the firmware via RS232 on COM 1, then tried to download the app but nothing... anyone have any ideas?

I have tried every possible download (I think) in PanelBuilder 32, even tried the download upload program

The only thought I have is if you are using a real serial port on your PC then maybe there is something not right with the PIC/AIC driver that your PC does not like. We all know that driver is suspect on some computers. Have you tried another PC with the PIC/AIC driver? Just thinking out loud.
