Aveva Application Server & InTouch Edge - Machine Edition Compatibility

To my surprise, InduSoft has been rebranded to InTouch Edge HMI. After the IDE software install, I instantly thought I mistakenly installed InduSoft Web Studio.

I am trying to navigate the labyrinth of Aveva's documentation but I can not find out if InTouch Edge HMI and ArchestrA can import/export graphics from one another or if ArchestrA can manage or create "$InTouchEdgeHMIApp" template objects. I am running Application Server 2017 update 2, maybe UPdate 3 could have the functionality I am looking for. I know the OI Server can be created on InTouch Edge HMI for obvious reasons.

Would anyone have some interesting information about InTouch Edge and ArchestrA compatibility? Or is it a completely standalone application where backups are done independently and InTouch Edge HMI instances can not be created on the Application Server GR database.

InTouch Edge HMI does not currently share graphics design with System Platform (As an FYI, ArchestrA is the technology under System Platform). There is a road map item for a future release to make this possible though.

However, InTouch Edge HMI can use System Platform as it's centralized data source - essentially making Edge HMI nodes a client of System Platform. This video should provide some more background: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CbDsS4WY1F4

Lastly you are correct, InTouch Edge HMI was formerly known as InTouch Machine Edition (ME) and InduSoft.
