Good Morning ,

I used BootP to establish the IP Address for a new PowerFlex 525 . Every time I power down the drive , I lose the IP Address. I am confused about BootP. Should I enable or disable BootP ? Could you folks explain BootP , and how it works.

Thanks so much.

After you set the IP address you need to disable BootP. Doing this from the Him may be easier then using the software.

You must set parameter C128 to 1 along with setting the IP address. This tells the drive to use the IP address in the parameters rather than get one from bootp.
