CanOpen diagnosis tools-software

The Helmholz tool provides analysis and useful information from the ISO/OSI layer 7, down to the lower layers including scope traces. This is useful if you have long bus lenghs. But it is costly.

If you only need protocol analysis, then X-Analyzer 3 from Warwick controls may be a lower cost solution. You will need and USB-CAN adapter such as Kvaser's.

I think from the protocol analysis point of view they are equivalent. If your machine has problems of electrical nature, lots of CAN errors and the like, the Helmholz tool. Just for your reference, I think the CAN Bus Tester tool is made by GEMAC and rebranded to other companies. Maybe you could get better pricing and support from the link below.
