Ch D300/d50

I received winGPC for CH d300/d50 and I am getting the same error as described in this thread. I am trying to go rs232 to rs232 (485 ?)

I have tried several different cable configurations including rs232 with a rs485 converter but no change.

Does anyone have the pinout / converter etc configuration ??

After much digging through the CH/Eaton site I finally found a link for a D300 manual....

I have a factory purchased cable part # D50CBL10 with the following pinouts:


computer end--------------PLC end
2 little brown--------------2
3 red---------------------3
4 green jumper to pin 6 on computer end, then white wire between 6 on computer end and 6 on plc end
5 black-------------------5
7 big brown jumper to 8 on computer end, then yellow wire between 7 on computer end and 7 on plc end
9 blue--------------------9

no connection on pin 1 on computer end.
no connection on pin 1,4,8 on PLC end.
Connector is DB9 female on computer end, DB9 male on PLC end.

I don't have the 232/485 converter info available, but maybe this much will help in getting it to work.
