Generally what faults are occurred in a Profibus & Nodes of a PLC & how to rectify them ?

Do we need a specific software for this (talking esp. about Siemens S7 200, 300 & 400 systems & set-ups) ?

Generally, if all is well there are no faults incurred.
There are lots of people other than Siemens who use and can generate faults on Profibus.

I asked what faults might occur in a Profibus & nodes of a PLC ..... I know if all is well then there would be no fault at all .....

You will need to check the documentation of the manufacturer of your Profibus Scanner for what faults it can detect. Also this may help. http://www.us.profibus.com/

For B & R Automation PLCs , what Profibus Scanner would be used ?

And, for Siemens PLCs (S7 200, 300 or 400), what Profibus Scanner should be used ?
