I am wiring a machine that has 2 VFD’s and using belden non armored VFD cable per spec.

Does this have to run in cable tray or can it be pulled in conduit? Spec sheet does not say either way.

Also the grounding glands show to go to the motor and to the bottom of the VFD so how if not running in conduit do you get this into the panel in a sealed way to maintain the panel dust rating as this is a dusty area without using a grounding gland

Seeing that you are in the US, you can only run that cable in tray if it has a TC (Tray Cable) rating, which should be stamped / printed on the jacket. Many of them do, but we don't know what you are using.

You can get sealing grounding fittings for that cable.
