Internet up/down load for SYSMAC OMRON CS1G-CPU42H

I thought the DIGI unit was a serial pass through.

Don't you just need to configure CX-Programmer for the
correct serial port number?

May be wrong, been a while since I worked with one.

Let's back up a minute. I must have missed something.

Just exactly what are you trying to do?

How is the DIGI unit being used:
What two devices are you trying to connect?

Which device is connected to the serial port on the DIGI?

Sorry if I missed this, but I am a bit confused as to what we need to accomplish.

I'm not sure but try this
1-In the project worspace at the left, you have the Plc icone with the model(CS1G) and offline. Double click on that.
2-Under "network type" select ethernet
3-than click on setting.
4-In the pop-up go in driver. You can enter you're Ip adresse there
5- Now try to connect online.

I think that what you are missing is the Digi driver (Realport software, if I remember) that makes that converter on Ethernet appear as a serial port on the PC.
Then you set the programming software (CX Programmer ??) for Host Link communications.
The PLC serial port also has to be set for Host Link communications, matching the settings made in the Digi converter.
I am going to switch PCs and see if I can find the document that I wrote on this setup.
