Hello,
I'm having an issue getting NAD to work
I attached a screenshot of the error & Configuration
on the client NAD computer.

Master Development PC (PC Name = Computer1)
Running Windows 7
InTouch 2012 R2
This computer has all the DAServers on it
Wonderware Application folder (Plant) is shared with access to "Everyone"

NAD Client PC (PC Name = Computer2)
Running Windows 7
InTouch 2012 R2
This computer has only Windowviewer access, no development
NAD is configured on this PC
Find Applications: \\Computer1\Plant

ERROR.jpg

Note: Everything works when i open windowviewer on the NAD client PC
but i get these erorrs when it tries to Initialize I/O, its not seeing the DA Servers on the Master PC

All the help would be appreciated

Thanks,

Any ideas??
Anyone ever used NAD to read a InTouch
Application

It should be simple but for some reason
The client pc is not reading the DAserver
Drivers

Thanks

If you want Computer2 to use the IO server from Computer1, you have to configure the Node Name for access name correctly. Put Computer1 in that field.

I thought the way NAD works, is that the client that has NAD
Configured reads from a master pc that has all the DA servers.

Once NAD is configured on the client pc & map the client to the shared
Application folder that resides on the master pc. Then it copies
All the data from the master pc (access names & tags) to a folder
on the client pc once launching window viewer

All this is good, but I must be missing a step cause it's not
Reading the drivers from the DA servers from the master pc

Just confused, anyone have success setting up NAD on InTouch

Thanks a lot for helping

That is not the way it works though. NAD assumes you have the exact same setup as the PC it was developed on. So if your NAD PC does not have the driver, you need to point it to the PC that does. You can set the computer name in the access name and it should run on both the development PC and the NAD PC, providing the NAD PC can see the PC with the drivers (same domain etc).

Ok, thank you this makes sense

Like you said on the master pc were the DA Server drivers live
Currently I have The node name in the access properties blank

So all I have to do is put the IP address or host name
In the node name properties of the access name on the
Master development pc

Then the remote viewing pc would be able to see the da server

Thanks
